Squad Update
The Ladies' management team want to keep supporters updated on player availability and have issued a squad bulletin ahead of Sunday's home game against Wirral Phoenix (kick off 2pm).
Over the course of the football season, it is common to use a large amount of players as situations and circumstances change.
At our level, player availability does change and although injuries are part of the game, they have impacted heavily on our campaign.
Linnets Ladies have recently been without a number of players due to injuries but many are now looking to return:
Erin Roberts – Erin made a successful return to the starting line-up in Sunday's return fixture with Macclesfield and appears to be working back towards full fitness
Saffron Tilston – After picking up a foot injury in the Cheshire Cup game versus Maclesfield, which saw her miss four weeks,Saff returned from the bench against Altrincham with great impact. Saff is back up for full selection. Unfortunately, she was unavailable against Macclesfield but we hoping for a return against Wirral.
Emma Smith – Emma had been struggling with a quad injury but returned after the Christmas break. She has since missed games recently due to personal and work commitments but we hope she will now be back for selection
Emma Mclarney – Emma had been sidelined by an knee injury since Christmas but after returning to training, she got back on the pitch on Sunday as a second-half substitute. She came through unscathed and we look forward to our captain resuming in the coming weeks.
Beth Graham – Beth is taking time away from football due to personal circumstances but is looking for a return next season. We look forward to this as it will undoubtedly make us stronger.
George Oxley – Similar to Beth Graham, George is currently taking a break from football due for personal reasons. Likewise, her return for next season will only strengthen us.
Lucy Wieland – Lucy has had an extended period on the sidelines after sustaining an ACL injury late last season versus Mossley Hill. Lucy is back running and in early stages of rehab and training
Sophie Rotheram – Has suffered recently with a dead leg, sustained against Altrincham, Sophie has returned to training and should be available for selection.
Molly Hewitt – Another long-term absentee - having not been available since October after surgery - Molly is now back in the squad and raring to go.
Caitlin Morrissey - Caitin has departed the club due to travel/work commitments and signed for Winton Wanderers In the Manchester Women's League
Lily McCabe - The young midfielder has entered a dual-registration agreement with Northwich Vixens to further her game time/ development while assisting in her study aspirations. The opportunity for Lily to return is open.
Halle Morris - Has been absent for a length of time, firstly through injury and then to take a break from the football scene. A return date is uncertain for Halle.
Ella Connor - After a lengthy absence because of her studies, Ella is in discussions over a return to training.
