Attacking midfielder Matty arrived at APEC Taxis Stadium on the eve of the season with an impressive CV after representing Manchester City Under 18s and Wolverhampton Wanderers U21s.
Eight years with the Citizens culminated in an Under 18s Premier League winner's medal with seven goals and 11 assists in 17 appearances. before a switch to Wolves in September 2023.
He starred in Premier League2, trained with the first team and was a substitute for the FA Premier League match against Arsenal at the end of the year. Matty, who is from St Helens, started as a junior at Liverpool.
