👀✍️| ELLO TURNS TO ELLIOT IN ATTACK!

Written on 31/05/2026

Highly-rated forward Elliot Morris is keen to show his true colours after exchanging the Yellow & Blue of Warrington Town for our Yellow & Green.

Elllot will add something different to Linnets' attacking options through his ability to score goals and create for others by opening up defences out wide.

The 28-year-old has been at Cantilever Park since November 2024, playing in National League North and Northern Premier League Premier Division.

But Elliot's progress at Warrington was dealt a devastating blow by a long-term knee problem which required surgery.

The injury was sustained in February of last year and it was New Year's Day 2026 before he started another game.

Now fully recovered, he is determined to reignite the form which made him a hot property on the non-league scene in West Lancashire and Merseyside.

Elliot will also know that he has some making up to do with Linnets fans.

He scored both goals against us as City of Liverpool won a Play-off semi-final at APEC Taxis Stadium  in 2023-2024.

The Purps went on to lose at Prescot Cables in the promotion decider.

Elliot first rose to prominence in 2021-22, when he shared the Player of the Season award in the North West Counties League's Premier Division with Skelmersdale United.

His standout contribution helped Skem to secure promotion back to the NPL.

If 24 goals in 41 outings weren't enough, Elliot earned eleven Man-of-the-Match awards over the season.

Signed from Warrington Rylands, he had been quick to make an impact, his individual campaign highlight being a hat-trick against Retford in the FA Vase.

The culmination of a big team effort was Skem winning an inter-srep play-off at Cinderford Town to seal their Step 4 return after a three-season absence.

In 2022-23, more plaudits came Elliot's way through his inclusion in the NPL West Team of the Season.

A move to FC United of Manchester didn't work but the player's fortunes were dramatically revived on transferring to City of Liverpool.

After joined the Purps in November 2023, Elliot got back on the scoring trail under Paul McNally, his former boss at Skem.

He netted 26 times during a 12-month stay before being snapped up by Warrington Town.
