Marcus returned for his second spell with Linnets in late August 2025, nine years after signing for the first time. He made four appearances at the start of 2016-17 season.
Marcus, who has a reputation for scoring spectacular goals, played with and for Linnets manager Brad Cooke at Atherton Collieries.
He can play anywhere across the front positions and has featured in NPL Premier Division for Warrington Town, Ashton United and most recently Lancaster City from where he joined Runcorn.
