Inspirational midfielder Jacques is in his second spell at Linnets - after a brief
interlude at Bootle - and led the side for the second half of last season in the extended absence of club captain James Short through illness and injury. He now takes on the role full time.
The pair joined in raising aloft the Cheshire Senior Cup - only two previous captains
having lifted winners' trophies since the club's formation in 2006.
Jacques directs and dictates the play from midfield. He originally arrived at Runcorn
from Flint Town United, having been at Bolton Wanderers. and on
professional forms with Tranmere Rovers.
