Left back Matty signed in the summer, having made more than 100 appearances for Widnes - starring in their 2024-25 Pitching In Northern Premier League West title success.
The Chester-born player was at Liverpool and Burnley as a junior before launching his senior career at FC United of Manchester and subsequently playing in National League North for Curzon Ashton.
Matty joined Widnes from Bootle in October 2022,
and scored all four of his goals for the club last season when he was included in NPL West's Team of the Year.
